StoveTeam
StoveTeam International was founded by a Rotarian with crucial assistance from her local Rotary club in Eugene, Oregon, and Rotary International. StoveTeam promotes the local production, distribution, and proper use of safe, affordable, fuel-efficient cookstoves to replace indoor open-fire cooking in Latin America.
StoveTeam's innovative model for assisting entrepreneurs in Latin America has been awarded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Partnership for Clean Indoor Air Award for Developing Local Markets for creating local employment while improving health and reducing air pollution. To date, local factories started by StoveTeam have produced more than 76,300 stoves, improving the lives of more than half a million people and preventing nearly one million tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
